Overview
The Thistle Foundation is complete with accessible gym, communal hub area which is good for meetings or social events, spacious car park, calm, friendly and not too overwhelming atmosphere, welcoming staff as well as very good toilets and changing places
Transport & Parking
Also very accessible by bus as nearest bus stops are in 5 minutes or less walking distance and many bus routes go close by allowing visitors to travel there from all over Edinburgh and the Lothians and perhaps further a field
Access
wide ramps going into the buliding from the car park, buttoms on doors to help the phyically disabled open them, quite large lift available and some use of signs and symbols around the buliding
Toilets
two or more accessible loos available making waiting less necessary, wide variety of facilities useful to people with different types of disabilities and large print and symbols to help the visually impaired or those with learning disabilities
Staff
very patient, welcoming, helpful people with a good understanding of physical disabilities, learning disabilities and Autism
Anything else you wish to tell us?
definitely recommend the gym and exercise classes to people in the surrounding area
