Overview

The Waterside is part of Simsins chain which has restaurants located across Ayrshire. The Waterside is located in Seamil near West Kilbride. The restaurant has recently had hotel accommodation added to cater for wedding parties. I have not used the accommodation so can’t comment on its accessibility. I do enjoy visiting the restaurant for meals and drinks with friends and family.

Transport & Parking

The Waterside is easily accessible by car and there are plenty of disabled parking spaces available in the main car park in front of the restaurant.

Access

The disabled access in the main restaurant is very spacious and easy to manoeuvre round. The main doors are very heavy and I require assistance to open them. There is excellent ramped access at the front of the restaurant, There is a sandwich board which has been awkwardly placed at the top of the ramp platform. It would be helpful if this could be moved to the other side of the door to facilitate better access.

Toilets

Accessible toilet is very spacious and well laid out with lots of hand rails

Staff are always very friendly and happy to help
