Overview
****UPDATE**** Management have now made provision for a raised platform to be erected to accommodate seating for me and my companion - so all is good. Really pleased to have got this resolved in a day and not having to get involved with legal proceedings. For anyone experiencing similar issues, I strongly recommend raising a concern with the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS) and reading the following guidance on the legal obligations of a service provider. https://www.equalityhumanrights.com/en/multipage-guide/using-service-reasonable-adjustments-disabled-people ORIGINAL POST - Called the box office to book accessible seating and got 2 tickets and was told I could have seats at the gig. Operations team called me back to let me know the seating would be at the back of the hall and not raised so i would not be able to see the performance. Said they could not create a raised platform as that would take up too much space and reduce capacity too much. Whilst they accepted this is unfair to me as a disabled person and dies seem discriminatory there is nothing they can do. Now awaiting call for venue management but only solution likely is a refund.
