Overview
Part of the Edinburgh network of cycle and walking paths on disused railways lines. Only falls short of five stars because there are some places where it is not possible to exit the path in a wheelchair because of steps.
Transport & Parking
Can't comment on the parking other than to say that there is shopper's parking at Craigleith Retail Park at the southern end of the Telford Path. Good Lothian bus connections to there and from near to the various exit points on the path described below.
Access
See above. This is a tarmac path with a smooth surface and easy gradients. From Craigleith Retail Park to Crewe Road North is 0.75 miles. There are wheelchair accessible ways off the path on both sides of Crewe Road, with nearby bus stops. We explored the next section (the Ferry Road path). There are accessible ways off the path at Boswall Place (0.5 miles from Crewe Road North) and at Wardie Road (0.96 miles from Crewe Road North) and convenient bus stops on Ferry Road.
Toilets
There are accessible toilets in some of the shops at Craigleith Retail Park, but none that we found elsewhere on the route.

Anything else you wish to tell us?
On a previous occasion, we got as far as Newhaven. Carry along along the path as far as Bangholm Recreation ground, where five cycle paths meet, and turn left. The path brings you out on the seafront 0.45 miles west of Newhaven Harbour. Total distance from Craigleith Retail Park to Newhaven Harbour: 3.16 miles.
