Overview
I'm always looking for comfortable and characterful hotels which can accommodate me as a wheelchair user - the Talbot hits the target
Transport & Parking
There is disabled parking close to the main entrance. At the time of our stay it was fully occupied, however the manager was very helpful in ensuring we could park close to the door
Access
There is level access to the main part of the hotel and this is fine for a wheelchair user. To access the ground floor disabled room (there is no lift) it is necessary to leave the main entrance and go down a pavement to a side entrance. The main part of the bistro (bar restaurant) is not accessible - however food is served in the bar itself
Toilets
There is a good accessible loo in the main lobby, and the disabled bedroom had very good disabled facilities - grab rails, shower seats etc - all very clean and well maintained
Staff
The staff were all very helpful with all issues concerning being in a wheelchair
Anything else you wish to tell us?
This is a lovely hotel with excellent food and comfortable rooms. So difficult as a wheelchair user to find older characterful places like this with super service - strongly recommend!
