Overview
We stopped here on our way back from a day at Edinburgh zoo. As we pass this pub and restaurant on our way home. There are a few blue badge spaces in the car park all near the entrance to the bar. The car park is tarmac so easy for those in a wheelchair, scooter or walking aid . Access is all level from the car park to the bar. Although I couldn’t get into the garden from the car park as this has steps. You can eat in the bar area or restaurant and there’s also a conservatory. Plenty of room to get to tables in the bar for a wheelchair or scooter. The menu is varied and suits all tastes . Some meals come in half potions. The staff were helpful as I had to ask what ingredients were used in some meals due to my allergies. My husband had the chicken curry and naan bread which was very good, I had a gammon steak that came with mushrooms, grilled tomato, side salad, onion rings, pineapple slice and chunky chips. Again this was very good.We were impressed by the service and food and would visit again.
Transport & Parking
We arrived by car after a day out . There is a bus stop near by for buses into Edinburgh. Car park is tarmac with a few blue badge spaces.
Access
Access to the bar is all on one level from the car park plenty of room inside for a wheelchair or scooter to access the tables which are nicely spaced out . As we ate in the bar I don’t know what access to the restaurant or conservatory is like or how easy to get to tables with a wheelchair or scooter.
Toilets
Presume they have a disabled toilet but didn’t see one near to where we were.
Staff
The staff we dealt with were helpful. We would visit again when in the area.
