Overview
The old Kintore Arms Inn in Kintore has been updated and renamed The Square. As with so many historic buildings, The Square has some accessibility constraints. The historic granite facade has four granite steps up to the front door. But, the bar is accessed by the side door, on the right side of the building. Food is served in the bar and dining room.
Transport & Parking
There is one disabled parking space behind the 18th century Town House, in Kintore, which is in the centre of The Square (which in reality is anything but square!).
Access
For a start four granite steps up to the front door. But, access to the bar by the side door, is on the level. From there a corridor leads to the dining room, but it has three steps without a handrail. Access to the dining room and pool room can be gained through the kitchen, but this floor can be slippery, as I find out with my crutches. The bedrooms are upstairs and there is no lift.
Toilets
I did not use the loos on recent visits.
Staff
The staff were welcoming, friendly and polite.
