Overview
Pub 2 of the second day of my accessibility pub crawl in Broughty Ferry. The Ship Inn is a small pub right beside the seaside.
Transport & Parking
There are council car parks/on street parking close by and taxi rank is also nearby. There are also plenty of buses that pass through Broughty Ferry on regular basis. A train station is also situated in Broughty Ferry although I don’t know anything about how often they stop, I know it’s not that much though.
Access
There are 2 entrances into the Ship Inn however, only one of them is level access. It is the side door that is the accessible one, it is quite narrow to get through but manageable. The pub is quite small, I was lucky to get a table when I went but if it was a busy night I probably wouldn’t manage to get in.
Toilets
I don’t think there is a disabled toilet in The Ship Inn as I did not notice one. Due to the size of the pub I don’t think there would be a reasonable sized toilet to fit a wheelchair.
Staff
I couldn’t get up to the bar so I didn’t interact with any staff members, whilst I was people watching in the pub I noticed the girl behind the bar was friendly.
