Overview
My visit was brief because the staff were rude and there is no accessible toilet. Not recommended for wheelchair users.
Transport & Parking
Farringdon Station is fully step free and 0.8 miles away. Bus routes 56 and 153 stop right outside the pub.
Access
There is a step-free entrance and I was able to get around the pub OK in a powerchair, though it's rather cramped in places and would be stressful if the pub were ever busy. The absence of an accessible toilet is the big access problem with this pub.
Toilets
There is no accessible toilet and all "ordinary" toilets are downstairs in the basement.
Staff
Zero stars. The staff I met were flippant and rude, especially rude when I asked whether there was an accessible toilet. The excuse was that it's a Grade 2 listed building so it's impossible to have an accessible toilet. I gave out a sour and mirthless laugh when I heard this, I've been in Grade 1 listed buildings with accessible toilets, so the excuse will not wash.
