The Scottish Fisheries Museum
St Ayles, Harbourhead, Anstruther, KY10 3AB, Scotland | 01333 310628 | WebsiteDisabled Access Day at the Scottish Fisheries Museum
The museum is working to improve access throughout its 15 galleries. We are eager to hear what people think about our facilities so there will be a free cup of tea or coffee to anyone who completes an access survey on the day.
On Disabled Access Day:
There will be the first trial run of a special gallery touch and descriptive tour at 11:30am and 3:30pm. The tour will last approximately 45 minutes.
There will be object handling throughout the day in the temporary exhibition gallery.
There will be a free space that can be used by any visitors who would like a moment away from the main museum.
Outside the museum, between 1 and 3, there will be a series of small science experiments, which give a flavouring of some of the frequent museum events.
These new features will build upon the museum’s current access provision which includes:
a Carers Go Free policy
a hearing loop
large print labels
ramp access throughout the galleries.
