A nice hotel with some character

Overview
The hotel is set in the former Scotsman newspaper building so has a lot of character and architectural features. They don’t always lend themselves to good accessibility. Reviewing from my perspective as a visually impaired person; not taking in to account access for people with mobility impairments.
Transport & Parking
The hotel is well placed for public transport with bus stops on the North Bridge. There is also another entrance to the hotel which goes out on to Market Street opposite the railway station.
Access
The building is a maze of floors and corridors. You do need a hand if you haven’t visited before.
Toilets
There is an accessible toilet by the conference area and grand staircase. Unfortunately, it is blocked by a portable baby changing unit.
Staff
Staff were helpful and polite.
