Overview
Excellent food and drinks, lovely staff in a reasonable accessible building. In the Summer when the doors are open I don't have any problem to get in and out of the building by myself. Only when the weather gets worse you call a member of staff to help you with the front doors, which are rather ancient. This place has got a disabled toilet where I can get in with my powerchair. All dogs are very welcome in bar area.
Transport & Parking
Behind the building is one disabled parking space, directly to the back entrance. You might need to call them with your phone to open the back door for you depending on your disability.
Access
The bar, café, restaurant and conference centre downstairs are accessible. There is no lift to go upstairs where they have got a small conference room and further all bedrooms, which are all only accessible by stairs.
Toilets
Decent size of disabled toilet, which I could use from my powerchair. Some people who need a side transfer might find difficulties, because there is only space available on one side to transfer to the toilet. The bin does not have a lid, so everyone can see what you are throwing in it, which might be a concern for some people, especially when they have throw incontinence materials away.
Staff
All staff is very helpful and lovely. Many of them have worked there for many years and they have got a lot of local knowledge.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
I certainly recommend this place, because of the lovely food and drinks. Don't feel embarrassed to ask for help, the staff loves to assist you if you have got problems with opening and closing of doors.
