Overview
The fish pie was magic. Service couldn't have been friendlier, but a little slow and slightly less attentive than I would have liked - I had to go to the bar and order my own wine, and it took ages to attract anyone's attention to take a dessert order. Having said that, I'd rather have such relaxed service than the kind where you feel pressured to get through your meal. No such unwanted pressure here, and we had a lovely relaxed meal. There are a few steps up to the rear restaurant, but there is a lift down to the loos so accessibility is OK if you have to walk like a stick like I do. Ask for a table close to the front so you're nearer the lift down to the loos and don't have to walk miles to your table.
Transport & Parking
Taxis can drop off and pick up right outside and (in theory) you can park there but I wouldn't bank on getting a space on George Street
Access
One step up at the entrance. Two steps up to the rear restaurant. Plenty of space to move around inside.
Toilets
Signage could be better as it suggests the lift to the accessible loo is in a different direction to what it actually is. Wheelchair lift down to loos with plenty of space in it. Not far from lift to accessible loo. Explanations within lift re: which floor to choose could be better.
Staff
Very friendly and helpful.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
Have the fish pie! And ask for a table near the front so you're near the lift to the loo and don't have to walk miles to your table.
