Overview
I contacted the pub before visiting the area on holiday. To check about access and could they meet my allergy needs. The person who I dealt with was helpful . They emailed a copy of the menu that would be available when we visited. They asked what my favourite meal was as they might be able to accommodate that if needed. I did say there was something in the menu that I would like if they could accommodate my allergies. Which they were more than happy to do . The pub is in a small village and also has a micro brewery nearby. It’s a typical English country pub . All the staff were helpful and my needs were fully meet. Our meal was very nice and they were able to fully meet my dietary requirements.
Transport & Parking
It’s a gravel car park so not great with a wheelchair.my husband parked as near to the entrance as possible to avoid me having to go over the gravel. Unfortunately there were no disabled parking bays and the car park adjacent to the pub isn’t very big there is additional parking over the road .
Access
Apart from the gravel in the car park and a shallow step up into the pub access was ok although a little uneven in places due to the age of the pub . There is seating in the upper part of the pub restaurant but we requested a table downstairs in the main area. There was plenty of space to get around the tables with my wheelchair
Toilets
Staff
The waitress who dealt with us was helpfully and was fully aware of all my allergies . She knew exactly what I was having, only my husband had to decide on his meal. There was plenty of choice on the menu to suit everyone, we would visit again if in the area
