Overview
The Pixel Bunker is easily accessible by a lift at the main entrance. It is large enough for a large boot scooter plus one person. Buttons are low and need only one press, not holding down, to activate. The toilet is at street level next to the lift. You are given the door code when you pay for Bunker entrance. It is a very large, clean space but has only a toilet and sink. The gaming area is all on one level with large spaces between arcade units and suitable for all types of wheels. Due to the style of machines and height it may not be possible for all users to get their wheels close enough to play. My son's scooter chair swivels. We took a perch stool also so he could use the pinball games which are a little higher than the arcade machines. The Bunker is darkened, so screens are visible, and although not overly loud there are many games all playing at once so it can be overwhelming. Ear protection may be needed. My Loop ear buds were sufficient. There is no cafe but they sell snacks and drinks. No table to sit at but there is a short sofa/bench and snacks/drinks are allowed inside the gaming area. There is plenty of parking, though few disabled spaces. Parking is 50p an hour in the purple areas. Very helpful, friendly staff.
