Overview

This is our favourite restaurant locally for special occasions a deux, family lunches and afternoon cakes after a walk along the canal. Excellent food, friendly helpful staff, ample parking, everything on the level, and level with the Union Canal towpath

Transport & Parking

Large car park, on the level with the restaurant, plenty of disabled parking, clearly marked, restaurant staff saw us coming and opened door for me - I was pushing my daughter. Also - restaurant on a level with the towpath on the Union Canal - it's easy to walk there from Linlithgow, and to explore the canal-side after a meal.

Access

Signage for disabled parking clear, restaurant on level with car park, plenty of outdoor seating with space for wheelchairs to enable sitting out in summer weather. Small area of restaurant is up three stairs but any time we have been there with our daughter a table has been made available on the ground floor. a space had been made at the table for my daughter and set with children's menu prior to arrival so we could go straight in and be seated with no fuss. Also plenty of space to manoeuvre my daughter's wheelchair indoors.

Toilets

I saw or saw signs to an accessible toilet but didn’t use it.

Staff

All staff are friendly and helpful - nothing is too much trouble. The staff all talk to my daughter and though she is PEG fed they always ask if they can get her anything to eat /drink: no assumptions are made. Also opening doors for us on arrival and departure is much appreciated and makes things easier.

Anything else you wish to tell us?

The Park Bistro is a firm favourite with our family and has been for years - access is easy, staff are helpful, and the food is excellent quality and well-priced. My son says they do the best chips! Special diets are catered for with no fuss and staff are knowledgeable about ingredients across the menu - my nephew is dairy-free and his parents were impressed with the range of dairy-free options available on the children's menu. The Park Bistro is family friendly - good quality children's menu, plenty of high chairs and a well stocked soundproofed play area within the restaurant.
