Overview
A beautiful venue in a beautiful location, but don't go there is you have mobility issues
Transport & Parking
Small car park with no designated disabled parking
Access
Stone steps (8 or 9) lead up to the front door. A wheelchair can be got into the building by going up a very steep slope to the back of the building and then being escorted through the kitchens
Toilets
There is no accessible loo - the normal loos are on the 1st floor, up 20 steps, across a room and up a further 5 steps
Staff
Very polite and professional, however when confronted with an issue they couldn't solve they just ignored it (and therefore us).
Anything else you wish to tell us?
We attended as part of a wedding party, the lack of wheelchair friendly facilities meant we had to leave and could not attend the wedding. Having submitted a complaint the venue have now updated their accessibility statement to make it explicitly clear that the venue is not wheelchair friendly. Not a good experience but the management have endeavoured to make suitable reparation.
