Overview
Went to see Nightwish at the Wembley arena . We stayed overnight in the Hilton next to the arena which meant getting there on a cold night quick and easy . I’d already told them I was bringing medical equipment and they told me to go to door 1 at the front instead of queuing at the door on the ticket . Staff very friendly and I was directed to door 1 with other people in wheelchairs or scooters. Easy to get through security but then a long wait for the only lift which was old to take us to the 1st level . Found our door not too far away after passing the snack , drinks and merch stands . All near by . The wheelchair area in my block was on the side and had nice seating for carers . It blended in with the other seating so you didn’t feel segregated. Although there was room for 7 people , it was only me and my husband plus a guy at one end so we had the are to ourself !! I could then turn to see the stage which was great . Getting our was even easier as opposite our end was doors to the street and ramp to the front of the arena so no need to go back down the other end to the lift . 5 mins later we were back in our hotel room !!
Transport & Parking
Tube stations are about 15 mins walk , gaps between the tube and platform and jubilee line you need to ask for a ramp . I stayed at the Hilton next to the arena which had good accessibility and rooms were easy to get around. Many car parks nearby with blue badge parking
Access
Good supported getting in the arena but having one lift means queues. Easier to get out and not use the lift
Toilets
There were disabled toilets I didn’t use it
Staff
Very friendly and keen to help
Anything else you wish to tell us?
Extra ventilation
