Overview

This German bar has Level access. It has a good party atmosphere on the weekends, Good food, and friendly staff.

Transport & Parking

There are parking spaces available on Silver Street, not immediately outside the bar, But a little further along the street.

Access

There is level access throughout the bar and there is a disabled toilet. There are long tables in this bar with benches all along, so the only spaces for wheelchairs to sit are at the end of the tables. I usually sit at the end of the table next to the disabled toilet. Luckily this is adjacent to where the band plays and the big screen so I get a good view from sitting here. However, if it is busy maybe people already in this spot and in this case there are a limited number of other spots for me to sit without being in the way.

Toilets

There is a disabled toilet with a radar lock on it. It is a good size, with enough room for me to turn my powerchair around, and there is enough space for my carer as well. There is a grab rail. However, I have noticed that sometimes the staff use the disabled toilet. I'm not sure why. There are able-bodied toilets downstairs.

Staff

The staff are friendly, and pleasant to talk to.

Anything else you wish to tell us?

On Friday and Saturday nights they have a German oompah band playing live which is good fun. On Monday nights they have a quiz which is good for me because they have questions on the big screen so I can read them. I have a hearing loss so I find it much easier to read the questions then to listen out for them.
