Overview
I first visited the Old Vic in 1963 from school. Now my age and physical disability make many theatre venues quite challenging. The installation of the lift at the OV has made accessing the basement toilets much easier even if the lift is quite slow to use. Though I don't think there are any access toilets at each auditorium level. The OV access scheme is also pretty generous and easy to join. Staff were overall helpful though the security guard at the front didn't tell me about the stepfree access on Waterloo Road which I don't recall being marked. Public transport to the OV isn't great. Buses stop outside Waterloo station from where it's a walk.
