Overview
We were excited to visit the O2 Arena, it is quite a distance from our usual haunts. The venue did not disappoint. With an accessible tube stop, taxi rank and über water taxis, there are a number of ways to get there. The Arena is held within this large venue that includes a cinema and a huge array of restaurants and bars to suit whatever culinary mood you are in. There is even a shopping area. The arena itself has 3 accessible platforms, 2 at the back and one to the left of the stage. We were on the platform next to the stage and were guided from the arena to our spot on the platform. What really sets this venue apart from others is that staff check on you regularly and take food and drink orders throughout the gig. An excellent service. After the gig, we followed the signposts that led to the taxi rank and joined the queue. A member of staff headed straight for us and placed us at the front of the queue. This needs to happen at more venues. Hugely impressed and would visit again!
