Overview
We emailed the staff before our visit and were assured by the manager that "it's a ground floor venue with level access throughout". Imagine our surprise, therefore, when we arrived and found a 5 inch step at the front door! Staff were supremely unhelpful and said "we've never had a problem before", because manual wheelchairs can be bumped up the step. They offered me access through the back door, down an alley, in the dark and rain. I refused and am sending a very angry email come the morning.
Transport & Parking
No parking - however it is in the centre of town with easy bus and train and tram access.
Access
Big step at the front. Sign on the front of the bar says HEAVN, not Night and Day Cafe - there was a small sandwich board which said Night and Day Cafe but hard to spot in the dark from a car. Staff unhelpful and bordering on rude. Offered level access by the back door where the bins are, down an alley in the dark. They couldn't see why this was degrading.
Toilets
No idea, couldn't get in!
Staff
No help whatsoever, even the manager, who did not apologise and said "*maybe* were wrong not to mention there's a small step", completely downplaying how much of an accessfail a step is.
