Overview

We visited to attend a concert, but having passed through the bar, I can recommend it for a drink ( we didn't try the food). The ballroom has its own bar and the room is sympathetically decorated in white, with fairy lights. It's a pleasure to be able to get into such an old building easily. There are holiday and other flats in there too, We have stayed in two of them in the past but because the lift is an old one, it is unreliable. The ground floor ones often have the bedroom and bathroom on the mezzanine which make them unsuitable for disabled people who struggle on stairs.

Transport & Parking

There is a small car park for customers only. No disabled spaces as such but there is room if one parks in the right spot. There are parking spaces on the main road opposite but you need a disc, and there is a pay and display car park not far away (park on the overflow section which is nearer to the Met.

Access

There is a ramp which takes you into the bar area. From there, via a corridor, you can get to the ballroom which is used for events. There is also a side entrance with 4 steps. The first three have a handrail but the last one does not. However it isn't steep and it's not hard to do (I use my walker to hold on to). A grab rail here would really help, but if steps are hard for you, just use the ramp. It's a built one with walls either side and a very gentle slope.

Toilets

There is an accessible toilet, with a pull light and all the necessary grab bars. There was space for a carer but no changing places.
