Overview

This building was clearly not built with disabled people in mind which is a shame with their live music every Saturday, DJ all afternoon Sunday and other events on through the year.

Transport & Parking

4

The building is on the main road through Billingham with a bus stop right outside the gate and 3 diff busses servicing the area. There is also a fairly decent sized car park but no disabled spaces at all.

Access

0.5

There is no disabled parking spaces. There is a step to get into the building which apparently has a ramp if you ask a staff member but in my experience the manager himself watched me andy carer struggling to get me and my walker up without offering help or telling us about the ramp. There is also only roughly 4 tables inside that are actually accessible with the rest of the seating area being up steps again with no access to mobility aid users.

Toilets

0.5

No actual disabled toilet. There was a stall with a grab rail in with the womens toilets I used. However, the stall was no larger than the other stalls and was too small for me to even get in with my rollter never mind manoeuvre. The actual toilets are also inside 2 doors with a very sharp corner with a small space to turn making access even more difficult for a mobility aid user.
