Beautiful, Accessible Public Park
Visit date:
Overview
This public park is beautiful, and has great access. The paths are flat and wide, and spread all over the park- ideal for wheelchair users. There are also lots of benches to have a rest on. It is accessible via public transport on the 30, 5, 8 and 7 buses from the centre of Edinburgh, and close to lots of great pubs, bars, restaurants and cafes. There is a public toilet (open 10-6). Unfortunately, it is not wheelchair accessible, and it's a bit of a tight squeeze- so there may not be room for a carer as well.
Transport & Parking
There isn't much, if any parking nearby, but buses 30, 5, 7 and 8 stop nearby.
Access
There are no steps, and the paths are flat and well-maintained. Everything that you might want to see is visible using a wheelchair.
Toilets
Unfortunately, the loo did not have disabled access. It was clean and well-kept, but there was no room for a wheelchair or a carer.

Anything else you wish to tell us?
I would really recommend this park- it's beautiful and a great place to be (particularly in the summer when everyone is sitting out). The only downside is the lack of an accessible bathroom- this is definitely something which could be improved.
