Transport & Parking

Taxi dropped off at the top of the hill. There are two Blue Badge spaces, but best to phone ahead to bag one.

Access

Quite a hike from the drop off point round to the restaurant entrance. Packed gravel surface - might get a bit skiddy in the rain? Rubber mats laid on the path, I assume to increase traction. The subtle outside lighting certainly adds to the atmosphere, but may be a little challenging for those with vision problems. I think the signage to the restaurant from the drop off point could be better.

Toilets

Massive loo with grab rails, right beside the front door.

Staff

So lovely. Warm, friendly, full of information about the food. Pointed out the best route for the scooter round to the table and carried my bags over for me :)

Anything else you wish to tell us?

We had the tasting menu and cocktails. Already being fans of the sister restaurant (Gardener's Cottage), this certainly didn't disappoint. The same dedication to locally foraged or sourced ingredients. And THE VIEWS! Fantastic. We were lucky enough to be there on a really clear evening for bird's eye views of Edinburgh and right across to Fife. Brilliant.
