Overview

The Little Red Train is a great way to explore the area. Particularly if you're visually impaired like me or don't want to be walking too far. It is an open sided train albeit powered by what looks like a car engine cunningly designed as a Thomas the Tank Engine style train. I particularly liked the audio commentary as it was available in what I guess was Greek and more importantly for me; English. A great way to find out what is around and what you're looking at without having to struggle with maps, guide books and magnifying glasses. The train chugs along at a fair pace; I guess it could be 30 miles per hour at times but you can easily see the sights. The seats are padded and fairly comfortable but the train does bounce around a bit. You need a steady camera hand if you plan on taking pictures!

Transport & Parking

The train was great as it stopped at several stops on its journey with plenty of time to get off. It was hand for me to get to places that I wouldn't otherwise see or perhaps even find. I felt that it was good value for the seven euros that I paid.

Access

3

For me the access was great. I only awarded three stars as it would have been great to see them have a wheelchair accessible 'car' on the train. I didn't manage to see or find one. I particularly liked the audio commentary as it brought things alive for me as I may not have known what I was looking at otherwise!

Toilets

4

As with most places in the area there were plenty of bars and cafes where you could find a toilet. Some had accessible toilets as well.

Staff

The staff on the train and at the stops were friendly, welcoming and helpful in explaining where the train went and what you could see.

Anything else you wish to tell us?

Great way of exploring if you're not familiar with the area. Also, fabulous if you don't want to walk too far or find it difficult. Really enjoyed the experience and would ride on it again.
