Overview
The venue has a warm friendly atmosphere and the staff are so helpful. The audio tours for the visually impaired are very enjoyable, interesting and informative. Its obvious the staff have given much thought to making exhibitions accessible to VIs and their description are always very comprehensive. The workshops afterwards are always great fun, and again well thought out so easy to participate and achieve one's own creation. I have been attending for many years now, and its always a great pleasure to go to the Lightbox for these session and one always looks forward to a most enjoyable morning. The cafe also is excellent and one is always able to enjoy delicious food (and wine) there for lunch afterwards. The only downside is parking the car. There is disabled access, but the car park isn't very large. There are nearby car parks, but they are frequently very full. The train station is within easy walking distance, but there are major roads to cross, although there is an audible crossing signal.
Transport & Parking
We are always saved a parking space, which is a major asset, as nearby car parks are often very busy. The Lightbox car park is not very big. Trains are within walking distance, but major roads to cross, but with audible signals.
Access
I'm assuming you mean the inside of the venue, and that is certainly accessible with lifts to all floors and easy accessible toilets.
Toilets
Unisex toilets on all levels.
Staff
Friendly and helpful and very keen to make sure you enjoyed your visit to the venue.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
Always a pleasure.
