Accessible gig!

Overview
I love live music, but going to gigs as a disabled person can be a tricky experience. The Leadmill has level access, and replied to my email about accessibility quickly.
Transport & Parking
We stayed at a nearby hotel and got to the venue on foot (with a mobility aid). It’s close to the train and bus stations.
Access
No steps!! All seems to be on one floor. The gig I went to was in a smaller room. When I contacted the venue about accessibility, they said they already had a wheelchair user and someone's using a barstool, and so couldn’t put another barstool out because of limited space. They did offer early access so I could get to the barrier, giving me something to lean on. They were really nice, but it’s frustrating that they could only properly cater to two disabled fans. This is the first gig I’ve been to since becoming disabled that didn’t leave me feeling disadvantaged, othered, or prevented from fully participating. Sitting in the hotel afterwards, I’m not grieving what my body used to be capable of doing.
Toilets
Couldn’t find them. I assume they have some, but didn’t see signage.
Staff
Really nice, friendly, attentive
