Overview
SAT NAV. For disabled free parking. SL4 1QT. River Street car park KING AND CASTLE WETHERSPOONS. WALK TO RIGHT from car park if you want to go straight up to King and Castle pub, but then it’s a long steady uphill push to get you into Wetherspoons. We chose to TURN LEFT from car park, and walked along to river Thames first, it’s quite near, then made the uphill walk to Wetherspoons. Ideally placed along the main street for Windsor, and it’s a large typical Wetherspoons, good prices, food so so, fast service, However, if you are fuzzy, then we think ( think ) there are better places a few yards further on . We found that cleanliness was not a high point here, tidy, but could be better. Tables were very poor, in need of a lick of paint, certainly needed to be wiped far better, the food was served quickly, but not the best breakfast we have had. I,m afraid we will not be recommending this Wetherspoons to you, but we doubt if anywhere else in Windsor would be better.
Transport & Parking
We used the River Street car park, as there are only about two disabled car park that are handy, the private car parks are very expensive. There are no real car parks that are ideal for disabled, as Windsor is very hilly, so whichever you park in, be ready for an uphill push for your carer.
Access
Wetherspoons has level entry, with places you can put your chair in that’s out of the way. Tables are far enough apart for you to manage.
Toilets
We did not use toilets, as repairs were being made to the patio area, so some parts could not be used on our visit, so cannot advise you on toilets.
Staff
Willing and hard working.
