Overview
We were a group of four with one motorised wheelchair. My husband rang ahead to let them know about my mum’s chair which they said would be no problem. The service was great and cheerful and the food delicious. They picked us a good table near the disabled toilet (but not on top of it). The disabled toilet was a decent size and had a cord and reset button within reach. It was also the most stylish we’ve used by far! At one point we dropped a mask from a bag when rummaging for meds. Our waitress spotted this and brought us a new one in a little The Ivy envelope. On the way out it was a bit narrow where people sat with their backs to the bar. The staff foresaw a squeeze and we’re proactive in asking a few people to pop up for a second. Top marks! Sorry no photos, we were too engrossed in the food, drink and chat.
Transport & Parking
We drove in and found a disabled parking spot at the far end of George Street. We had hoped to get one nearer but they were taken. There’s a map of disabled parking bays in the city centre on the councils website. They responded quickly to a query I emailed them about.
