Transport & Parking

It doesn't have its own parking. We were lucky and got the last space outside on the street. However there is plenty of parking in the town's car parks which are only 5 minutes away.

Access

Being situated inside an old pub the doorways are narrow but accessible. There is no step into the pub. No step into the bar and no step into the FRONT dining room so be sure to ask for this room when booking. The disabled toilet is situated in a large extension which leads to a nice garden area.

Toilets

Easy to find and get to. Toilet was very large with lots of grab handles and would accommodate a wheelchair and a carer at the same time if so required. It was clean and tidy and everything worked when I visited .

Staff

All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Nothing appeared to be too much trouble. Hats off to all of them!

Anything else you wish to tell us?

I would recommend Oscars purely for the food! Obviously it would have been nicer to have more room to manoeuvre inside... but you have to accept that being inside a quaint, characterful building will have its limitations! I will definitely be planning a return visit....both the restaurant and bar menus are excellent.
