What a super charming Victorian B&B, elegantly modernized and tastefully decorated – and what a friendly and hospitable couple John and Jan are (not to mention Ollie, their delightful Springer Spaniel)! We were fortunate to be allocated the Lodge on the ground floor, with its spacious and accessible features making our stay most comfortable! The room boasted a very comfortable bed and a spacious wet room with an easily controlled shower and bath. The kitchen was well equipped, and we appreciated the thoughtful touches of coffee, hot chocolate, milk, and biscuits provided. While not the highest speed, the free WiFi was more than adequate for our needs. The accommodation preparation was spotless, furnished to a very high standard, and we were set up for the day with a generous full English breakfast, punctually served. The house is set back from a country road (Roman Road) just outside Appleby, in a large wooded site with pleasant patio and gardens, and views towards the North Pennine hills. Overall, a friendly, comfortable, and relaxing place to visit! Highly recommended...
