Overview

I visited for lunch at this hidden spot in Bridge of Allan. They had a good range of options available with vegan and gluten free choices too.

Transport & Parking

Transport links are not great here. The cafe does not have its own car parking spaces. There is on street parking in Bridge of Allan but it is for 30 minutes max. There are a few car parks in the village. There are bus stops near by. The cafe is about 10-15 minute walk away from the train station.

Access

The cafe can be a bit tricky to find. It is down a little lane off Fountain Road, next to Strathcarron Vintage Charity Shop. There is a second way to access the cafe from the Tesco express car park, but as you will see from the photo there is a drop and you have to squeeze between the cars. There is a ramped entrance and a entrance with steps. Currently most visitors are being asked to follow a one way system which means entering via the steps and leaving via the ramp. The internal layout is a bit different right now with marking on the floor and less tables. Sometimes they have couches but currently it is all table and chairs with some built in bench seating. I'm afraid I forgot to take pictures inside the cafe.

Staff were nice. Currently it is all table service. They did let me know when I booked that we only had the table for a limited amount of time and it did feel a bit like they were in a rush to get the table back towards the end of the meal.

Anything else you wish to tell us?

There is a doorbell to ring at the entrance with steps when you arrive. They asked for names and contact numbers when we arrived and asked us to use the hand sanitiser. Staff were wearing masks and asked us to wear masks when moving around the cafe (to and from our table). It would be tricky if someone using the ramp arrived on their own as the doorbell and contact sheet are at the entrance with steps.
