Overview
Difficult for anyone confined to a wheelchair.
Transport & Parking
No car park. Bus stop outside.
Access
There is a high step up to the main entrance which has a double door. I asked the assistant manager if the step could be lowered. He said it was a listed building. I told him it was possible to obtain removable ramps and he said he would pass this information onto the manager. The side door, which is narrow, has a low step of about 2 inches but the porch is only about 3 feet square and there is a sharp left turn to a second door which opens outwards. The assistant manager came immediately to my assistance when he saw me struggling but it was lunchtime and the pub was quiet.
Toilets
I didn't need to use the disabled toilet but it was at the end of a short corridor which had to be accessed via a heavy door which opened outwards. Not ideal.
Staff
Both staff friendly and helpful.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
Once inside the pub is roomy so lots of space to park wheelchairs or a small scooter.
