Overview

The nature of the layout of The Guildhall and Linen Exchange is quite inaccessible but not impossible to navigate. The main entrance leads to the bar area which mostly compromises of high up bar stool seating however there are two standard tables as well. To get to the main seating area there are about 5-7 steps however there is a wheelchair lift here. It is difficult to navigate between tables as they are close together and not lined up but in more of a scattered formation. If you want to order food or drinks you have to find a table first and then go to the bar to place your order, this may be difficult if you are alone but hopefully you have someone with you who can do this. The main toilets are down many flights of stairs however to the rear of the main dining area there is a RADAR key toilet, if you do not posses a RADAR key the staff are usually friendly and open it for you however before I used any mobility aid I was questioned about it a couple of times.

Transport & Parking

Not too far from the bus station however the closest parking intended for blue badge holders is normally always full and it is not very close to the car parks.

Access

There are steps to get in from the back and balcony entrance, there are steps from the bar area to the main dining area however there is a wheelchair lift here. The main toilets are down many steps however there is a RADAR key toilet to the rear of the main dining area. The layout of the tables can make it difficult to navigate around the dining area to the toilet or the bar.

Toilets

The RADAR toilet is always very clean, there is a pull alarm and bars around the toilet that can be moved up. This toilet is also used as a changing area and staff toilet however.

Staff

Would be 5 stars as most of the time they are very friendly and helpful however I had to knock a star off as in the past before I used a walking stick they questioned me a couple of times about using the RADAR toilet when I asked them to open it for me as my cerebral palsy makes me look drunk. I recommend purchasing a RADAR key in advance if possible to save waiting for them to open it as it can take a little while when they're busy.

Anything else you wish to tell us?

I really enjoy the food and its quite inexpensive for food and drink.
