Overview
If it wasn't for the challenge posed by the loo this would be a nice accessible venue.
Transport & Parking
Taxi dropped me off right outside. Not much bus provision I think.
Access
Flat entry through double doors. Reasonable amount of space inside.
Toilets
This is a tough one to rate. The accessible loo itself is in a separate easily accessible ground floor location (I think the other loos are upstairs). The door is nice and wide. There's plenty of room in it, with grab rails. However... The floor of the accessible loo is about six inches lower than the surrounding floor. There's a wee steep wedge/ramp which allows entrance/exit if you're on wheels. BUT once you're in, because you fully opened the door to let yourself in, despite the back of the door having a long grab rail you can't reach it to close the door. And because the loo is in a separate area, I had to wait for a member of staff to happen to come past en route to the store room next door (note to self - don't risk visiting the loo without taking phone!) to close the door for me. And.... The slightest spot of water on the floor turned it into something slipperier than an ice rink. Pretty dangerous, especially when the people using this loo are likely to be a bit unsteady anyway.
Staff
Nice and accommodating - when we arrived the only free tables were upstairs, which is no good for me. However the staff were very nice and cleared a downstairs table for us, in what I think is a dining area - even though we were only in for drinks.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
No masks. I went positive two days later. I'm saying nothing...
