Overview
The Globe is a live music venue. It holds a maximum of approximately 400 people (standing). It is accessed by a flight of stairs and there is no lift. The bar and one set of toilets are on the same floor as the stage and there is another flight of stairs to the balcony where there are low seats and tables and some high stools with padded seats and low backrests. There are also toilets on this floor. There are usually a few high stools and tables on the main level. This time there were hardly any on the main level. First request for a chair refused. Finally given one at the back of crowd.
Transport & Parking
Only on-road parking.
Access
No lift.
Toilets
On first and second floors. No lifts.
Staff
No info on website about accessiblity. No contact details for enquiries. Security staff initially refused request for seat. Second request allowed after two more people requested seats. We were placed at the back of the standing crowd as by then the venue was full. We couldn't see anything and were very frightened because people couldn't see us and there was a danger we would be crushed. The other people went home halfway through as they felt so ill.
