Overview

THE FORT, FORT PARKWAY, ERDINGTON, BIRMINGHAM. B24 9FP SEE THEIR WEBSITE ON. www.manager@thefort.co.uk The Fort shopping center has been constructed on the old Fort Dunlop factory centre in Birmingham, and we found it to be very nice. Lots of parking, good and large stores to view, all shops very clean and tidy, full of wares as all shops are, but many items we would never use, but all in all, worth a visit. Although an outdoor shopping area, most of the shops are under canopies, so do offer a dry walk around from shop to shop after leaving your car. It Even has two Costa coffee’s, as well as other eating outlets, so a few hours could be spent here. It offers free parking, toilets, and easy enough to find. However, if you need to use the M6 it can be difficult to get back on it after shopping, but we would say, give these shops a try.

Transport & Parking

This centre is on the outskirts of Birmingham, lots of traffic, so be patient. There are many parking bays, but you need to look carefully for disabled bays, they are there, but just a few in various spots, but these are close enough to shops.

Access

3.5

From the car, disabled bays are near enough to the many stores, you just need to find them at the front line of stores, then some have a slight slope to have to use, but these were easy enough.

Toilets

3

There is a section by Costa coffee, and toilets were reasonable, at least clean and tidy, disabled with pull cord and grab rails.
