This review is especially helpful for those who have or use the following: Wheelchair
Overview
We were able to access all the places we wanted to although some exhibits are not wheelchair accessible e.g. no lift to those rooms and steps
Transport & Parking
We were able to park immediately outside on a single yellow line with a disabled badge in our own bus
Access
The museum has 1 lift but if you walk right through on the 1st floor you have to go all the way back the same way. A 2nd lift would be useful. The lift only fits 1 wheelchair in and so if you go as a group it takes a long time to access the floors. From where we parked our bus it was quick to get into the building and we were then at the information centre inside. The information signs needed you to be able to read but we gather from their website that you can hire audio guides. There is no braille information for visually impaired people.

Staff
Staff in the information centre were very informative. Staff opened doors for us and pointed us in the right direction when we asked them
Anything else you wish to tell us?
We recommend visiting and would like to go again. The visit would be improved by a lift at either end of the museum as it would save time doubling back on yourself. Sign graphics to describe exhibits would help people who find reading difficult and are unable to use an audio guide Information in Braille would develop accessibility for visually impaired people
