Overview

We booked a sea view, and didn't get it. Nor did we receive an apology or any explanation. The room was described as a Premier room, but it wasn't particularly large; was gloomy, had a gaping hole in the ceiling above the shower. Nor did it have a fridge. There was very little cupboard space. Very poor lighting. Terribly cheap bedding. No telephone. In short, very sub-standard. The door from the car park didn't work so my wife had to wheel herself round to the front of the hotel. The car park was tiny and didn't have enough space for all the residents. This meant that cars would get blocked in all the time. There was never anyone on reception - and as already mentioned, no phones in rooms. So if you needed anything, you had to try and find someone. Utterly hopeless for a hotel that is meant to cater for those with special needs. The food served was really terrible. School dinners at best. The place is terribly overpriced. I suspect they get away with it because they are one of very few hotels catering for disabilities. But as far as I am concerned they don't cater for this market at all well. Having complained to head office about having paid for a sea view and not receiving one, I received NO response. Utterly utterly hopeless. This place is to be avoided at all costs, which is a shame because Llandudno is lovely and the position of the hotel is excellent.

Transport & Parking

Dreadful. Far too small. Cars would constantly get blocked in.

Access

The ramp to the front had one section that was clearly too steep. And the automatic back door from the car park was broken and couldn't be accessed.

Toilets

Toilets were adequate.

Staff

Nobody helped us from the car park. They did once we were inside. Nobody explained or apologised that we hadn't been given a sea view, which we had booked.

I wouldn't recommend this hotel to other guests.
