Overview
Step free delicatessen with café in the rear of the shop. The café serves drinks and light lunches and is open during the daytime.
Transport & Parking
Sidmouth doesn't have a railway station. The 9 or 9A bus from Exeter takes about 35 - 45 minutes and stops at the Sidmouth Triangle, round the corner from the Dairy Shop.
Access
Step free access to ground floor shop and café. The café has free standing tables and chairs. The shop and café is more spacious than it first looks from the front as it extends quite a way to the back.
Toilets
They have toilets but I didn't use them. However there is an accessible toilet requiring radar key, round the corner from the cafe at the Sidmouth Triangle.
Staff
The cafe has waiter service. I was welcomed in and service was prompt and very good.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
The cafe is at the back of a shop and is surrounded by shelves with produce which gives it a quirky charm. The café has a warm, cosy feel to it with its tables covered with polka dot table covers and small posies of flowers. I ordered their savoury scone which was utterly delicious consisting of a large homemade cheese scone, two thick slices of cheese, with three small pots, one of chutney, another with packets of butter and another with crisps. I ordered a large vanilla milkshake which came topped with cream, chocolate button and chocolate sprinkles. Prices were very reasonable for the quality of food. Very nice place to visit in terms of quality of food and the nice surroundings.
