Overview

This pub is in the centre of Appleby . Access is easy most of the pub is on one level. During the day there is also a tea room in one area of the pub. This is up two steps but there is a small door that you can use to access this area and avoid the steps . There is also a small garden out the back this can be accessed through a side gate. The staff were helpful and more than happy to assist moving chairs if needed. I have dietary requirements and they were more than happy to provide information so I made the right choices . All the food we had here was good including the cakes we had for lunch . Plenty of choice to cater for all tastes .The pub also has some rooms upstairs which can be booked direct with the hotel . The cottage we were renting was on the outskirts of the town .which made it an ideal place for us to visit for food. We would certainly visit again when in the area .

Transport & Parking

There is a local bus service but we travelled by car . Plenty of parking in the town. Including car parks and on street parking. There are a number of blue badge parking bays both in the car park and on street .

Access

Access to the pub and garden was good .room for me to get around with the wheelchair both inside and outside.

Staff were helpful and friendly .they were able to answer the questions we had with regard ingredients in the food, move chairs to make sure I could get to our table .
