Overview
Cuddington is a typical Cotswold village , the pub is at the heart of the village. It has a lovely thatch roof and certainly dates back some time given the quirky bar. I had contacted the owners about access and the menu before visiting. They were extremely helpful and said if I booked in advance they would make sure the ramp was in place for my visit . Indeed this was the case. I also asked about the menu as I have a number of allergies caused by my medication. They said this would not be a problem at all, as meals could be adjusted to cater for this . Many of the main courses also came as a smaller meal ideal for those who have a smaller appetite as I do. I must say the food was amazing . We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner and the puddings were also excellent. The staff were really helpful as were the people sat outside in the beer garden. These were locals and offered to help my husband hold the car doors open for me to get in. We would certainly visit again when in the area.
Transport & Parking
They have a small car park out he front of the pub , this was full on the day of our visit, but we parked on the road not far away. The pavement was just about wide enough for my wheelchair.
Access
They have a ramp which was put over the steps at the side entrance. Given the pub is extremely old getting round inside is a bit tight with a wheelchair but we managed . If we had decided to eat in the beer garden then there was plenty of space for the wheelchair. By booking in advance the ramp was already in place for us.
Toilets
I don’t know if they had accessible toilets
Staff
The owners and staff were very helpful and more than happy to accommodate all my needs .
Anything else you wish to tell us?
We did notice that there were bottles of hand sanitizer in the bar area.
