Overview
Lovely place to stay, easy access to the room. Large room with easy access around the bed and into the bathroom for a wheelchair. Unfortunately only a bath but as staying only one night this was not an issue. To access the bar area there is a step which unfortunately makes it very difficult if in a wheelchair but the staff were willing to help at every turn. The building is very old and there is not really a way around this problem but we managed.....just, had a nice meal and a lovely comfortable sleep.
Transport & Parking
Easy parking and easy access into the bedrooms from the carpark.
Access
Easy access to the bedrooms from the carpark but not so easy to get into the bar area. There is one step from the bedrooms part into the bar area which makes it very awkward for wheelchair users. This is a very old building and even the front entrance into the bar area has steps so unless you are with someone or unless some of the bar staff can assist there is no access to wheelchair users or people who find steps difficult. The staff though were extremely helpful and did offer assistance at all times.
Toilets
The toilet was easily accessible but the room only had a bath in the bathroom and no shower for disabled individuals.
Staff
Staff were wonderful, friendly and always on hand to assist and could not do enough for their customers. They were wonderful.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
It was a lovely hotel, full of character in the bar area and very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was spotless and the bedding was lovely and crisp white cottons. The food was lovely and great value for money.
