Overview
Lovely (if not expensive) food.
Transport & Parking
Parking in the Multi-storey is fairly good for disabled drivers/passengers. Spaces are monitored and offenders are ticketed.
Access
To access The Clipper, you need to go up a ramp too steep for anyone in a self propelled wheelchair - unless you have a carer with you. Once up the ramp, negotiating around customers and tables is easy enough. Most of the food and drink is reachable too. You would not be able to get a mobility scooter up the ramp. If you have mobility issues you could not cope with the steep incline either.
Toilets
There is no disabled toilet on site. Yes you read that correctly! The Clipper have a men's toilet and a ladies toilet - but there is no provision for the disabled. This means that the disabled customer has to leave the cafe, cross their legs and hope they can get over to the OPPOSITE side of the Dolphin Centre in good time - where you may or may not be able to access the ONE and ONLY disabled toilet (if you have a RADAR key).
Staff
The first individual I asked for help finding the disabled toilet did not speak English! The second person said something along the lines of "No sir we do not have a disabled toilet" He then proceeded to direct me to the one over the other side of the shopping centre. I was totally gobsmacked!
Anything else you wish to tell us?
I cannot recommend this Cafe. It is unacceptable that in 2015 no provision for disabled customers toiletry needs has been made.
