Overview
A wheelchair accessible location, reasonable food and service. Stunning views.
Transport & Parking
There are no dedicated parking bays for disabled visitors.
Access
Overall once you’re in the main part of the hotel the disabled access is good. However the car park is on and incline and the surface is quite rough. There’s a long staggered ramp with good grip surface down to the main entrance. There are a small ramp inside, when desending to the restaurant area.
Toilets
This is where they excel. The disabled toilet is excellent. A large and spacious room, with grab handles and plenty of space to even manoeuvre my powered wheelchair. Every time I’ve visited it’s been clean.
Staff
It’s sad to report on my most recent visit the staff were verging on discriminating. They offered husband accompanying me my wine, not once but twice. They even went as far as to address him when asking what I wanted to order. Some members of the staff were better than others. Overall though I found them unfriendly and caring.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
This restaurant and hotel is set in a most beautiful location, views out over cardigan bay and estuary. A stunning place to sit and watch the sun go down. The parts of the hotel I’ve been to have been easy to manage. The food on the whole is good, if now slightly pricey. However the lack of care of the staff on my recent visit has sadly let the hotel down. If you are in the area it would be worth a visit for the scenery alone. Just don’t except too much from the staff.
