Overview
Great house, wonderfully finished, everything thought of - even down to freshly roasted and ground coffee! Couldn't believe there was full-size snooker table -and plenty of toys for the kids. More importantly, there was plenty of room for my mother to navigate her electric wheelchair - she had as much freedom of movement about the ground floor as the rest of us. Many locations claim to be wheelchair accessible (ie. you can get into them, and maybe the bathroom is accessible) but not many are actually wheelchair friendly. There was plenty of room in bedrooms, living space, and shower room for my mum. My father says the bedroom and shower-room was first class. Because of the open-plan layout she was able to be part of all the craic wherever it was happening. Bright and breezy internal space. Lovely space to spend a holiday in. (Weather was miserable when we were there, but spending 5 days inside this house wasn't a problem. Plenty of activities provided, plenty of fun had!). Plenty of bathrooms too. Shop close by in the village. Kitchen had everything needed. We had other family members staying elsewhere who joined us for a meal and the kitchen was able to cope with cooking for a bigger crowd of people. A superb house - photos don't do it justice!
Transport & Parking
Access
Parking and access good for the wheelchair accessible car. Ramped entrance. Big doors.
Toilets
First class - and plenty of them.
Staff
Ian as a host is excellent - attentive without being obtrusive.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
A special house for a special family get-together. It will live long in the memory. We could have fun anywhere, but here was special because the house made everything easy, and made my parents feel special as we celebrated their wedding anniversary.
