Overview
The rear of the pub has reasonably level access (small threshold plus ramp from car park). A disabled loo is provided. Very obliging management and staff make for a disability-friendly experience. Good food and beer too!
Transport & Parking
The bus stops in the village but not right outside. You really need to drive here. It's a shame there are no disabled spaces in the car park (the spaces are tightly packed, so whilst we've rarely been unable to park it's difficult to open the door as wide as I'd like). There's a ramp from the car park to pub level then a short path to the rear door.
Access
Front of pub entrance isn't accessible due to steps. Ramp (quite long) at rear from car park. Rear entrance has a small lip. Narrow double doors lead directly to bar from car park to bar. One door is bolted but staff quickly and happily unbolt it to get wheelchair through. If tables at rear are taken (there are loads, so never happened to us) , you'd need to negotiate a step to access others - so worth reserving a table if you're going to eat.
Toilets
Lovely -if a bit jaded- loo. All necessary grab rails and alarm cord. Nice wide doorway, clearly labelled, plenty of room to turn a chair inside.
Staff
Always helpful and friendly.
