Overview
THE BOARS HEAD WORLD BUFFET, 340 ALDRIDGE ROAD, PERRY BARR, BIRMINGHAM B44 8BH. 0121 356 9859 SEE THERE WEBSITE ON,,,,,,infor@boarsheadworldbuffet.co.uk Not bad, but not as good today as in the past, we have used this place many many times, but this our first visit again since before Covid. First impressions count, and the old pub needs to be looked after, it’s getting a little run down and untidy, but remains very popular. Lunch menu is still ok, lots of choice from around the world, but we were disappointed, food seemed to be of poor quality and some cooked items had unusual tastes to what we would have expected. Cut backs are expected, but food should be a good quality, and in a busy place as this is, over 200 visitors at lunch times each day when kids are off school, it seems the pub may be using cheaper items, and that is a shame, because the price is good, you certainly get your monies worth, but we just wished it had tasted better. A lot of food items were cold, so keep an eye on when the replenish the counters.
Transport & Parking
This pub is on the outskirts of city centre, but still has a lot of traffic to contend with as you aim for it. Only part of the carpark was in use, no disabled bays marked, but not to difficult to park and get you out of the car.
Access
Not bad, you can get around easy enough, but the tables are close together, and you would need someone to go and get your food for you.
Toilets
Did not see signs for disabled, and door into the toilets was not that wide, so did not use toilets.
Staff
Helpful enough, busy, but quick service, plates cleaned away quite quickly which allowed you to have clean plates for each course. Counters are not to far apart, each with its own selection off food from various parts of the world, and chefs cook in front of you, again busy, so no conversations to speak about.
